The Crossing Guard

Here's an observational drawing of this heavy set crossing guard I seen while I was stopped at a signal. He was sitting on the curb waiting for kids to come by so he could do his duty. The funny thing was when kids did show up he still just sat there while holding up the stop sign as opposed to walking over to the middle of the crosswalk to help the kids and parents crossover. Sheesh!

  1. Did he really have a bird on his head? Cause that would be hilarious! Great drawing man hope those kids get across the street safely.

  2. Hahaha no he did not have the bird on his head. Just threw that in there for fun but that would have been great if it was there oh and yes I'm pretty sure they made it across. Hopefully the kids gave a nice little kick at the guy as they passed by him.

  4. Wow! That 'STOP' can have several meanings! Of course the traditional stop sign to help others cross over, but then again...*points at his physique*...or it is a sign for someone to help him to get up!

Either way! I love it ^_^. It's an awesome character and I love the bird! The bird's smallness keeps the dudes' hugeness in balance hehe.

    Ciao!

  5. Thanks Brad! Yeah I like the more softer colors as well. Thanks for noticing that. I just got to be careful that I don't go to light.

TJ: Haha your too funny! I'm glad you like it and thanks for noticing the bird and how it kinda helps balance out the hugeness of the guy. You Rock!
